The Nightingale (Russian: Соловей – Solovyei; French: Le Rossignol) is a Russian conte lyrique in three acts by Igor Stravinsky. The libretto, based on the 1843 tale The Nightingale by Hans Christian Andersen, was written by the composer and Stepan Mitusov.
